1. Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Nicholl Oils ("the Promoter").

2. Eligibility

  • The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.
  • Employees of Nicholl Oils are not eligible to enter.
  • By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

3. Promotional Period

  • The competition opens on the date of publication.
  • The competition closes at 11:59pm on 18th December 2026.
  • Entries received after the closing date will not be included in the prize draw.

4. How to Enter

Home Heating Oil Customers

Customers who purchase home heating oil from Nicholl Oils before the closing date will be automatically entered into the competition when they place an order:

  • Online; or
  • By telephone.

One qualifying order equals one entry.

Transport Fuel Customers

Customers purchasing transport fuel from participating Nicholl Oils or Star forecourts must:

  1. Purchase fuel before the closing date.
  2. Scan the competition QR code.
  3. Complete the online entry form.
  4. Upload a clear photograph of their fuel receipt.

Only receipts dated within the promotional period will be accepted.

5. Purchase Requirement

A valid purchase is required to enter this competition.

No free entry route is available.

6. Prize

There will be one winner who will receive £1,500 worth of fuel credit to be used towards either:

  • Home heating oil supplied by Nicholl Oils; or
  • Transport fuel for a car, van, truck, or other road vehicle purchased at participating Nicholl Oils forecourts.

The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative will be offered.

7. Prize Fulfilment

Depending on the winner's circumstances, the prize will be awarded as either:

Home Heating Oil Customers

  • £1,500 will be credited directly to the customer's Nicholl Oils account to be used against future home heating oil purchases.

Transport Fuel Customers

  • A pre-loaded fuel card with a value of £1,500.
  • The fuel card may only be used at participating Nicholl Oils forecourts.
  • The fuel card must be used within 12 months of the issue date.
  • Any unused balance remaining after the expiry date will be forfeited.

8. Winner Selection

  • The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received before the closing date.
  • The draw will take place within 14 days of the competition closing.
  • The Promoter's decision is final.

9. Winner Notification

  • The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided at entry or held on their customer account.
  • If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, Nicholl Oils reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

10. Verification

The Promoter reserves the right to:

  • Verify the eligibility of any entrant.
  • Request proof of identity, address, purchase, or receipt.
  • Disqualify any entry that is incomplete, fraudulent, misleading, or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions.

11. Publicity

The winner may be asked to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the competition, including photographs and social media announcements. By entering, entrants agree that their first name and general location may be used for promotional purposes should they win.

12. Data Protection

Personal information supplied during the competition will be processed by Nicholl Oils solely for the administration of the promotion and in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

13. Liability

Nicholl Oils accepts no responsibility for:

  • Lost, delayed, incomplete, or corrupted entries.
  • Technical failures affecting entry submission.
  • Any circumstances beyond its reasonable control that prevent the competition from being administered as planned.

14. Right to Amend

Nicholl Oils reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the promotion where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Northern Ireland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
