Nicholl Fuel Oils is delighted to announce that we are the official fuel suppliers for this year’s Irish Open at the Royal County Down. Over the last 50 years, we have grown to become Northern Ireland's largest independent oil distributor by providing the best prices by way of a reliable, dependable service. Today, more customers than ever trust us to deliver on quality and price. So we continue to invest in systems and processes to ensure we can meet their demands.
From its modern-day inauguration in Woodbrook Golf Club, Co. Wicklow, right through to last year’s narrative at Fota Island Resort, the Irish Open has provided spectacular competition both for the world’s best golfers, and the local amateurs that make up the the field every summer.
Recent years have ushered in success for the Irish golfers, as first Pádraig Harrington in 2007, and then amateur Shane Lowry in 2009, captured their home title.
This year Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell will be encouraged to add their first Irish Open title to their Major crowns on a course they know so well. The Royal County Down course, already renowned throughout the world for its stunning setting and rigorous challenges will provide an appropriate stage for the most awe-inspiring line-up of golfing greatness assembled here in the modern era.
It is an honour for us at Nicholl Oils to say that we were the first and only choice when it came to The Irish Open choosing its fuel suppliers.
