COVID-19: An update for our customers
We are currently experiencing exceptional call demand in all our offices. All our offices remain staffed. We appreciate that you may be calling to check the status of your order or trying to place a new one.
We outline below some information you may find helpful.
You can order online by visiting www.nicholloils.com
If you have placed an order, we will endeavour to deliver to you ASAP. We are unable to supply you with any scheduling updates at this time.
We will continue to schedule the deliveries outstanding in the order and service level agreed, at the time the order was placed with us.
A tanker in your location does not necessarily have your order.
If you have placed an order please keep the access clear and ensure the tank is unlocked, especially if you may have to self-isolate.
We have had to introduce new delivery procedures detailed below. Please make yourself aware of them
The situation around COVID-19 is constantly evolving, so we are constantly reviewing the best ways to protect you and our employees.
We’re still delivering to you – but with a few changes
For the foreseeable future we are asking our drivers to keep interactions with all customers to an absolute minimum. This means that, for the time being at least, they will need to refuse your kind offers of assistance, tea or a chat. We feel this is the best way to protect everyone.
We can deliver your fuel directly to your outside tank while you stay inside.
We’ll treat your delivery as if you are not even home.
We will not ask you to handle anything.
In the circumstances we will not be asking for your signature as ALL of our tankers are fitted with delivery meters and printers which are approved by DOE Weights and Measures and Trading Standards and print the delivery quantity on your docket. We will continue to use this as your proof of delivery volume.
Tankers also have GPS tracking fitted.
Please ensure access is clear and your tank is unlocked.
